The Viking™deletion pen is specifically designed to make corrections to Viking™ negative plates. The deletion pen can be used in the plateroom or the press area. Follow the steps below to remove unwanted images.

Before handling or using a Viking deletion pen, be sure to read the Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) for health hazard data, precautionary information and suggested first aid.

In the plateroom:

1. Applying light pressure to the deletion pen, brush the deletion fluid across the image area you want to delete.

2. For the best results, let stand 3-5 seconds.

3. Using a light rubbing motion, go over the image area again with the pen tip until the image is rubbed off.

4. After deletion, apply Imation Cleaner Conditioner or Viking™scratch remover and plate cleaner to the deleted area to desensitize the plate.

5. Gum the deleted area of the plate with Viking™gum or Viking™gum with gum arabic.

In the press area:

1. Clean inked plate with Cleaner Conditioner or Viking™scratch remover and plate cleaner.

2. Follow Steps 1-4 above.

Storage

Store at room temperature. Keep container in well-ventilated area.
